Duties

Help

Performs a combination of routine, multiple, and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team lead or more experienced personnel. Applies experience and detailed knowledge of a variety of administrative programs such as REGIS, PRISM and PCard, Government Vehicles, Teleworking Agreements, AITS, Castle and E2.

Articulates and communicates assignments to the administrative staff within the assigned organization. Articulates the projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones and/or program issues under review and deadlines and time frames for completion. Incumbent ensures continuous support coverage for all ES administrative programs within the assigned organization. Identifies inconsistencies, inefficiencies, lack of processes, and makes recommendations for solutions. Identifies the need for and develops instructions or procedures for administrative support within assigned tasks. Provides training and support to administrative team within assigned group to ensure implementation of the organization's administrative programs, policies, and procedures.

Identifies potential problems and reports them to appropriate managerial level with recommended solutions. Performs the full range of administrative functions, implementing the organization's administrative programs, policies and procedures. Refers to managers and professionals, who are more experienced, with problems that require their attention. May help develop and recommend solutions.

Provides assistance to support project management accuracy of the Corporate Work Plan (CWP) for assigned group. Provides reports, analysis and recommendations utilizing various automation software programs, tools and techniques used in support of the CWP such as the CWP Portal, Excel and Tableau.

Work is reviewed periodically, typically at major milestones and at completion, for policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or other work activities. Work activities typically support and may be vital to the success of projects and/or activities for one or more organizational units, major subdivisions, and/or LOB/SOs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Position requires up to 25% travel for work.

Qualifications

To qualify for FV-G band you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of experience equivalent to the FV-F, FG/GS-5-9 levels. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Analyzing data, conducting research and applying policies or procedures; identifying problems and offering solutions in the areas of administrative management. 

OR

Education may be substituted for experience as follows: PH.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, is qualifying. OR Combination education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Refer to OPMs Operating Manual Qualification Standards at, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/SEC-IV/A/gs-admin.asp, for more information. To qualify based on education, you must submit a copy of your high school or college transcripts or certificates. Failure to do so will result in loss of consideration. If selected, official transcripts will be required prior to employment. SCHOOLS MUST BE ACCREDITED BY ANACCREDITING INSTITUTION RECOGNIZED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university

Combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
