Help

In this role, you will:
- Serve as a working supervisor responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing maintenance operations involving high-voltage electrical distribution systems, elevators, cranes, mechanical hoisting systems, and associated infrastructure supporting NIST facilities.
- Supervise employees engaged in the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Apply broad knowledge of multi-trade maintenance operations to assign and prioritize work, determine resource needs, coordinate outages and shutdowns, ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety requirements, and resolve technical problems affecting system reliability and facility operations.
- Provide technical direction to subordinate employees, reviews completed work for quality and safety, coordinates work with other shops, contractors, engineering personnel, and customers, and responds to emergency equipment failures or utility interruptions to support safe and continuous operations.

Qualifications

There is no specific length or level of experience required. Applicants' overall experience, training, or education must demonstrate the ability to lead or supervise employees engaged in maintenance operations involving electrical distribution systems, elevators, mechanical hoisting equipment, or related industrial/facilities infrastructure.
