Duties

Help

If selected for this position, you will serve as the Intelligence Research Specialist for the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Missouri, and will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Provides evidentiary and intelligence support for USAO cases
  • Conducts analysis and assists in drafting complex legal pleadings such as applications and proposed court orders for electronic surveillance and warrant affidavits
  • Advises Assistant United States Attorneys and law enforcement agents in developing case strategies and preparation for Court appearances, hearings and trials
  • Monitor information from a variety of intelligence organizations, Fusion centers and law enforcement agencies on suspected national security threats and terrorist activities
  • Develop and present training on national security matters, intelligence and terrorism related topics directed to law enforcement organizations
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications

GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the gS-11 level as defined below. Specialized Experience is defined as administering principles, techniques, and methodologies of intelligence research to conduct research and analysis activities; conducting functions related to national intelligence agencies and law enforcement communities; analyzing techniques and practices to develop and maintain working relationships with a variety of groups and organizations, and preparing a range of written products such as formal reports, information bullets, fact sheets and legal process.
