Summary

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Programs (N922) Branch; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services (N94); Commander, Navy Region Hawaii, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH), Honolulu, HI. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to patrons as well as to perform a variety of duties in support of the MWR community recreation program at the Hickam Arts & Crafts Center.

WORK EFFORT: Exerts effort, shows initiative, spends time effectively.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Sensitive to fellow workers and supervisors, maintains effective working relationships.

Employee is expected to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with supervisor, subordinates and other employees in the activity. Must be sensitive to fellow workers, be a team player, respect authority and follow the chain of command. Expected to conduct oneself in a professional manner while on the job or in the facility.

WORK PRODUCTIVITY: Produces work of the quality and quantity expected.

Employee is expected to make effective use of time and stay productive. Offer assistance to others if time permits or look for work to do rather than stay idle.

Employee is expected to be reliable, dependable and at work on time and provide supervisor sufficient notice if unable to meet established work schedule. Must request supervisor's approval for leave and complete leave slips as required. Must sign in and out or clock in and out as directed. Must be neatly groomed and comply with dress standards when reporting for work. Must comply with safety requirements, maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards, comply with security procedures and report job injuries and hazards to supervisor immediately. Must operate vehicles in a safe manner. Employee is expected to comply with mandatory training requirements.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

SKILL IN WORK: Performs tasks well whether they require physical, technical, supervisory or managerial skills.

Employee is expected to be technically competent in preparing quality products for customers. Must meet "corporate standards" guidelines. Must meet standards of quality and consistency expected by management, prepare projects following appropriate and prescribed methods, minimize waste and meet time and cost restrictions. Expected to keep work area clean, organized and safe and maintain a satisfactory or better rating on safety inspections.
