This position is open to current Army NAF employees currently at CONUS locations. United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

Help
  • Responsible for overall management, leadership, and direction of fiscal resources, and policies and guidance of the established objectives of Business Operations and Community Recreation divisions of FMWR at Soto Cano, Honduras.
  • Delivery of business and recreation services including but not limited to food and beverage operation, fitness center, and equipment check out.
  • Abide by internal controls for cash handling and property accountability and operational/financial benchmarks.
  • Act as COR for AOR regarding base-ops contract and work with local nationals that augment FMWR services within MWR facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be current Army NAF employee located CONUS.
  • Selectee's position at the losing agency must remain encumbered for the duration of the TCS.
  • Unaccompanied Temporary Change of Station (TCS) only.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Required to file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with requirements of Dodd 5500.7 Joint Ethics Regulation.
  • Valid passport required for travel.
  • An employer referred physical exam is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends-based on programming and facility hours of operation

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Work experience directing/managing one or more Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Three years of experience in Business and Recreation Programming
  • Three years of experience with NAF finances and its correlation to service delivery

  • Hardship pay is included in the advertised salary. The US State Department can increase, decrease or withdraw hardship allowance at any time.

TCS Costs
  • Payment Temporary Change of Station (TCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a TCS move is in the Government's interest.
  • This is a temporary assignment NTE 12 months and includes movement of personal belongings to and from the duty station.
  • On-base living quarters provided (approximately 400sq ft; furnished- bathroom and bedroom).

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
