Duties

Help
  • Provides staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the SROTC Program and affiliates within the Task Force structure.
  • Forecasts, requests and manages the Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets for the host program and affiliates within the task force structure.
  • Accounts for property and manages various classes of supplies at the host and affiliated programs.
  • Utilizes various automated computer/software applications to prepare documents involving supply transactions, management reports and logistics.

  • Completion of a Unit Armor Course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the certification Training.
  • Completion of Contracting Officer's Representative course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • Moderate lifting of 50 pounds or more is required.
  • Must complete the DA Form 5019.

Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY NTE ONE YEAR with provisions to extend up to a maximum of 3 years. Permanent Army employees who accept time-limited appointments will not have placement rights to the previously held permanent position at the end of the time-limited appointment. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Ensuring record management files are properly maintained, following procedures to inspect supply or equipment for discrepancies, Operating automated word processing equipment with hardware and software components to prepare a variety of material such as correspondence, forms, reports, etc., Maintaining property book in accordance with applicable regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service at the GS-6 level.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
