Duties

Help

Supervises the daily operations of the pro shop and outside support operations (i.e. club storage, carts, starters/monitors and driving range operations) with direct supervision over the pro shop and cart barn staff. Assigns employees to specific duties consistent with workload and program requirements. Plans, organizes, schedules, and coordinates tournaments and/or events; arranges supplies and support services for functions to include registration, scoring and range and cart set up for tournaments. Processes daily reports, timecards and payroll and performs other clerical support functions, as required. Ensures adequate stock levels are maintained at all times and display and pricing are IAW established procedures. Resolves complaints promptly and fairly.
Provides information to patrons to ensure operational and safety requirements are followed. exercises full supervisory duties to include staffing, training, supervision, and performance management. Oversees both the Food and Golf operations in the absence of the General Manager. Operates government vehicles in the course of daily duties. This position works an irregular tour of duty. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience in a golf facility which has provided basic knowledge of golf programs, procedures, and rules, and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of a golf facility (e.g., tournament planning and scheduling, equipment rental, pro-shop operations or food service operations). Knowledge of golf course grounds maintenance requirements and procedures is desirable. A PGA Class A certificate fully substitutes for the experience. Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Condition(s) of Employment: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must provide a copy of current driving record. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."
