Description:
Are you ready to shape the future of space domain awareness and national security? The 20th Space Surveillance Squadron (20 SPSS) is seeking a highly skilled Computer Engineer and System Analyst to serve as a senior technical authority on cutting-edge radar systems. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of defense technology, leading the analysis, research, and development of large-scale, computer-controlled phased-array radars. Your work will directly impact our mission to detect, track, and monitor space assets, ensuring continuous, critical situational awareness for the Department of Defense and key interagency partners like NASA.

We are looking for an innovative problem-solver who thrives in a real-time, embedded software environment and possesses a deep understanding of computational radar simulations and advanced mathematical modeling. You will tackle complex challenges across hardware, system, and application software layers, driving technical solutions from the initial software development lifecycle all the way through operational implementation. If you have the technical mastery to diagnose intricate system issues, the strategic communication skills to brief senior leadership, and currently hold or eligible for a Top Secret/SCI clearance, we invite you to bring your expertise to our team and help defend the ultimate high ground.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have experience analyzing large, computer-controlled, phased-array radar systems. They must demonstrate deep expertise in embedded real-time software, computational radar simulations, and the software development lifecycle to support the 20th Space Surveillance Squadron (20 SPSS). Additionally, the candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, secure a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance certification within six months of assignment, and exhibit the exceptional analytical and communication skills necessary to brief senior DoD and NASA leadership.

2. Thorough knowledge of the electronic principles for detection and tracking radar with specialized knowledge and skills peculiar to computer controlled phased array radar. The experience should include experience in research and development, and operations and maintenance for a large, phased array radar system. A minimum of three (3) years of system analysis experience directly associated with a computer controlled large, phased array radar system is highly desirable.
3. Ability to isolate causes of problems between hardware, system, and applications software segments, and to measure system performance and/or extend operating system capabilities to support organizational processes and operations; ability to plan, organize, and re-prioritize work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects, and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relations.
4. Knowledge of software development life cycles, including system documentation, system requirements and techniques, design development, configuration management cost benefit analysis, systems analysis, unprecedented design methodologies, data administration, systems integration, and testing.
