Leads/manages the development, monitoring, enforcement, and evaluation of regulations, policies, procedures, State Plan Amendments and other guidelines for States in the design and implementation of their Medicaid program.
Participates in negotiating with State and Federal officials on issues related to Division work.
Initiates and develops ongoing productive working relationships with relevant entities including other federal agencies, States, Congress, provider organizations, and beneficiary advocacy groups.
Manages and builds relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups including States, advocacy organization, health care providers, drug manufacturers, and other federal agencies and senior policy makers developing regulations.
Leads staff and serves as a role model for leadership, including coaching, mentoring, providing ongoing feedback, formal and informal learning opportunities, and addressing staffing issues.
