You may be performing the following duties:

  • Participating in the quality review of SharePoint, OneDrive libraries, and databases.
  • Assisting with the research and development of procedures, processes, and presentations.
  • Engaging in customer engagement, business development, and outreach activities.
  • Presenting findings for projects and assignments.
  • Participating in team meetings and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Liaising with other employees to resolve information or project requests.
  • Compiling and analyzing information to develop reports, proposals, or documents.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records for all assigned projects.
  • Engaging with peers and team members to obtain knowledge needed to complete projects.

Conditions of employment

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful U.S. national.
  • Be enrolled not less than half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution.
  • Must be in good academic standing as defined by their academic institution.
  • Commit to volunteering 8 - 20 hours per week for a minimum of 90 days.
  • Complete all required onboarding documentation assigned by the Federal agency and your academic institution.
  • Agree to volunteer. This position is unpaid. No compensation, stipends, or hiring preference will be granted from this work. You may use this volunteer experience to qualify for future jobs you choose to apply for.
  • Agree to understanding volunteers are not Federal employees.
  • You will be required to report to an OPM assigned office.

Qualifications

Applicants will be assessed individually based on the knowledge, skills and abilities related to the project.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Research, collect, organize, and summarize information from multiple sources.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, customers, or stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, or other written materials.
  • Use common office automation software such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), SharePoint, or similar collaboration tools.
  • Maintain accurate records and organize files or project documentation.
  • Analyze information and identify inconsistencies or areas requiring correction.
  • Manage multiple assignments and complete work within established timeframes.
  • Present information or findings clearly to individuals or groups.
  • Learn new systems, procedures, and processes in a team environment.
