Help

As a Program Analyst, you will:

  • Identify and recommend enhanced work processes, increased responsiveness, efficient use of resources, and quality service delivery.
  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure software quality and to appropriately document changes including updating various standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Obtain and document program requirements to ensure program/system meet such requirements.
  • Prepare test cases by composing test scripts and preparing necessary files and databases to appropriately test proposed changes and regression test unaffected cases.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

- Experience reviewing and testing program or business work processes to gather and document requirements and inform system, reporting, or operational improvements; AND
- Experience using system, reporting, or operational data to identify issues, trends, or program needs.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.

This announcement uses the Rule of Many, a numerical ranking process under which eligible applicants receive a numeric score based on the assessment process for the position. Only applicants who are eligible for veterans' preference receive 5- or 10-point veterans' preference points, which are added to passing scores, as applicable. Applicants are then listed on the certificate in score order, and preference-eligible applicants are listed ahead of non-preference eligibles with the same score. Qualified preference eligibles with a compensable service-connected disability of 10 percent or more are listed at the top of the certificate in rating order.

This announcement uses the cut-off score referral method under 5 CFR 332.402(b)(1). Applicants who achieve or exceed the established cut-off score of 95 will be referred for consideration.
