This position is located in the United States Mint, Financial Directorate, Policy, Planning, and Budget Division. PP&B Division is responsible for resource planning, performance analysis and financial policy development for the United States Mint. PP&B works interdepartmentally to develop organizational budget and performance plans that support the agency's overall strategic plans and also serves as the contact for the Office of Management and Budget and Congress on financial and budget issues.
Summary

All candidates who are:
(1) Current United States Mint employees who are qualifying as Status Eligibles or currently serving on a Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA),
(2) CTAP eligible.
As a Division Chief/ Policy/ Planning and Budget, you will:
Direct the day-to-day management aspects of the Policy, Planning, and Budget Division and oversees the Policy Branch, the Planning and Analysis Branch, and the Budget Branch.
Be responsible for overseeing the development and reporting of strategic metrics to provide leadership in developing and executing the United States Mint's financial plan.
Provide leadership for all staff program functions and for development and implementation of operations pertaining to the policy, budgetary and financial analysis functions of the United States Mint to ensure control and accountability of the Mint's Public Enterprise Fund.
Be responsible for ensuring that financial policy review and development is consistent with statutory, regulatory, and managerial requirements; and that financial planning and budget formulation and execution is performed within established policy and guidelines.
All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
