Applicants have to be US citizens who are authorized command-sponsored dependents of civilian or military personnel stationed with official Government Orders at Naval Station, Rota Spain Active duty members are eligible to apply for flexible positions and, if selected, work during their off-duty hours as long as they obtain their Command's written authorization.

Duties

Help

The incumbent operates a cash register, collects monies, makes changes, cash checks and makes slot machine refunds. Processes credit card transactions. Prepares daily cash sales receipts; responsible for change funds and will comply with cash handling procedures. The employee prepares daily activity report (DAR) at the end of the shift for cash handling accountability. Cashier is responsible for taking payments from customers, making change, and giving receipts. Keeps records of transactions and prepares cash and checks for deposits. Prepares sales reports. Answers the phone, takes reservations and serves as hosts by seating patrons. Sells any displayed items at the counter. May also have front desk duties. Sells tickets to customers and operates ticket dispenser machines. Prepares foods on tray and containers for serving. Fills cups form drink dispensers or provides bottles or cans of drinks. Prepares simple food as hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. Maintains counter spaces and work area in clean conditions and orderly fashion. Insures spills and or dropped food is removed quickly to prevent safety hazards. Fills condiment dispensers, napkins holders, etc. At Theater sometimes handle advance ticket sales and mail-order ticket requests as well as turn on projector to start the movie. Receives and signs merchandise from warehouse to storage area. Provide a good customer service at Food and Beverage Division. Maintains a neat and orderly appearance; including good manners of dressing. Maintains a positive work relationship with employees; promoting a cooperative and harmonious working environment, positive employee attitude, productivity and improvement continuous.   • Work schedule is subject to change and may include working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Position may involve standing for extended periods of time, with handle objects up to 25 lbs. Long period kneeling, and bending will be required during various work operations.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

Six (6) months of general experience OR high school graduation (or GED/equivalent).

General Experience: any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position.

The incumbent must be familiar and comfortable dealing with the public on a daily basis.
Must be familiar with cash register operations, cash handling and reporting.
Have to know how a food and service operation works.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English language.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
