Duties

Help
  • Provides Marketing Functional services under the general supervision of the Stars and Stripes Engagement Director. As a specialist at the headquarters level, provide marketing functional services to designated strategic business units.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive marketing program in support of Stars and Stripes programs services facilities and activities.
  • Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance customer base, and community awareness of Stars and Stripes services. Develops and produces brochures and pamphlets
  • Responsible for developing, conducting, interpreting quantitative and qualitative market studies and market research analysis for Stars and Stripes.
  • Oversees editing, determining layout, design composition, and presentation of original artwork. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Standard Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Work experience must have be equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level. Ability to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel.
  • OR Completion of the requirements for a Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or closely related field AND 1 year of experience directly related to the duties listed above.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

Highly Qualified:
  • Possess at least 3 years professional marketing experience.
  • Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
