Serves as Supervisory Marketing Specialist in support of the 18th Force Support Squadron (FSS) Marketing Department. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and increase financial income to FSS programs. Manages a team of Marketing Assistants and oversees the marketing project management process from start to finish. Works in a collaborative partnership with the marketing graphic design and production teams to develop creative campaigns and manage creative direction. Partners with program managers in the areas of programs offered, pricing strategy, positioning through advertising/promotion, and launch timing. Identify target audiences, establish positioning, and develop campaign plans with specific objectives across multiple channels . Utilizes a variety of communication methods and techniques, for the purpose of informing the public about the programs, services, events, and policies sponsored by or affiliated with FSS operations. Conducts qualitative and quantitative market research. Administers surveys and focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies for future campaign development. Keeps Marketing Director informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations on program modifications and enhancements. Assists in developing training programs for FSS employees in areas related to marketing such as the marketing processes, advertising strategies, customer relations and media techniques. Supports major FSS events and provides constructive marketing feedback to activity managers. Assists in conducting media relations with on-and off base media in concert with the Public Affairs Office and Armed Forces Network (AFN). Provides or arranges for video/photographic support for FSS functions. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as information fairs and newcomers briefings. Performs other duties as assigned.
