This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida.

Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20 hours per week and schedule may include weekends and holidays. RPT employees receive benefits (Health/Life Insurance; 401K & AFNAF Retirement Plan; Annual/Sick Leave and Holidays).

Duties

Help

Plans, organizes, coordinates and oversees the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) administration of the Florida Department of Health Childcare Food Programs. Oversees an average of 50 Family Childcare (FCC) homes. The State of Florida and the USDA supports and oversees approximately 8,000 meals monthly (253 children) in the FCC homes. Manages a USDA food program monthly budget of approximately $200K. Develops and implements training to the FCC providers in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen sanitation and proper food storage techniques to assure healthy and nutritional meals are provided. Performs monthly quality inspections of homes to observe actual meal preparation, food sanitation, food storage, use of food leftovers, and accountability of USDA food items to ensure all providers participating in the program meet State of Florida and USDA standards. Reviews and approves all menus used in homes prior to implementation. Prepares and maintains training records, program files, program budgets, statistical data, USDA and Florida reports, inspection records and reports, State and USDA audit reports, and inventories. Gathers, monitors and maintains data to complete reports, responds to inquiries and assists others. Maintains required financial and customer usage data. Reviews applicable regulations and directives to determine appropriate actions to take or recommend.
Coordinates all aspects of the program with installation, military and civilian management staff, State and Federal USDA program staff, CYS Flight Chief, and FCC Coordinators and providers. Audits food program reimbursements to ensure proper funds are paid. Prepares and publishes information and training pamphlets, bulletins, newsletters, and checklists. Responsible to become a certified instructor for Pediatric and Adult First Aid and CPR training. Serves as subject matter expert for the childcare food program. Coordinates the childcare food program with the supervisory FCC staff on a daily basis. Provides families with Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Verification Statement to apply for respite care. Submits Verification Statement and family provided EFMP Q-Code letter to AFSVC for eligibility determination. Receives EFMP respite schedule requests and electronically schedules with available, certified respite care providers. Monitors EFMP respite care to ensure continued age eligibility. Provides interested respite care provider applicants with information and application materials and submits completed applications to AFSVC. Provides families with documents required to subsidized fee calculation and completes Total Family Income (TFI) calculation. Verifies and approves weekly FCC provider timesheets by matching timesheet entries with child sign in sheets. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:

Applicant must have progressively responsible experience in clerical or office work that provided a thorough knowledge of administrative principles and practices. Must have training, education, or work experience directly related to the duties required of this position. Requires responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to manage business activities. Experience must have provided knowledge of accounting and financial planning principles and procedures. Must be able to use a computer to include, but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, on-line information, data entry systems, and basic graphic design software.

Condition(s) of Employment:

Must be 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent). Must be able to speak, read and write English. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and provide proof of or obtain required immunizations. Must have a Food Handler's Certificate. Must be willing to become certified in and teach Pediatric and Adult First Aid and CPR. Must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of appliable background investigation (Tier 1 Level), State Criminal History Records Checks and Installation Records Check. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

96 FSS was formed in 2009 through the merging of 96 SVS and 96 MSS. This combining of similar functional areas that already worked closely together created the Force Support structure, intended to streamline processes, maximize customer service, and cut the Air Force's costs of maintaining separate organizations. 96 FSS consists of 9 Flights overseeing more than 30 facilities/activities to include child care, before-and-after school youth programs, family day care, dining facilities, lodging, outdoor recreation, golf course, library services, equipment rentals, fitness centers and Airman and Family Readiness Center.

As Eglin's host wing, they lead more than 19,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel providing essential base operating support and services for nine wings and wing equivalents, 11 operating locations and detachments and 35+ associate units.
