Duties

Help
  • You will be responsible in reviewing and interpreting current and projected Unaccompanied Housing (UH) requirements data for justification and programming for new UH.
  • You will be responsible in managing government owned facilities to include responsibility and accountability for the management and execution of an appropriated funding.
  • You will conduct inspections, audits, and management reviews of site activities. Recommends/implements appropriate corrective measures.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1.) Coordinating with maintenance tracking service to ensure any resident concerns or complaints area addressed, followed up and tracked in the Enterprise Military Housing database;
2.) Developing materials to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of unaccompanied housing program policies;
3.) Directing the application of housing management principles, concepts and methodology to conventional and unusually difficult assignments ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of unaccompanied housing projects and community resources; and
4.) Analyzing factors that directly affect housing programs such as unaccompanied housing market trends or conditions, material costs, laws or governing legislation to determine trends.
