Duties

Help

Plan, organize and oversee the activities of the division and formulate program goals, policies, procedures and work plans dealing with the development of operation of command-wide Marketing Strategy, Plans and Analysis functions and activities.

Collaborate and plan with other managers and appropriate personnel to negotiate, decide on, coordinate and/or integrate organization operation and interests of other organization as a whole.

Select or recommend selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications and mission requirements.

Monitor the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) marketing programs and develops comprehensive national strategic plans and performance analysis frameworks while developing and communicating analytics for National, Regional and Local strategic initiatives.

Support the establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with other coordinating organizations.

  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Group Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience which includes analyzing complex marketing challenges, overseeing administrative program operations, and providing strategic marketing support for high-priority national or department-wide initiatives which encompasses the comprehensive planning, direction, and timely execution of all activities within a marketing division.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques and methodologies pertaining to Marketing Strategy, Plans and Analysis.

2. Knowledge of mission, roles, functions, organizational structures and operations of organizations to provide command/department level staff guidance and/or Marketing Strategy, Plans and Analysis.

3. Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

4. Ability to analyze, plan and adjust work operations of subordinate organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

5. Knowledge of and senior-level experience in directing national advertising strategies, creative development, media buying and/or benchmarking, activation and partnerships.

6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
