Help

Issues, receives and schedules use of equipment, tools and repair/paint stalls for patrons.Determines type of repair job involved and suggests a variety of tools needed to accomplish the repair.Maintains inventory control records of items issued, conducts minor maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.Operates cash register and accounts for cash using established procedures.Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Ability to perform minor repair and servicing of tools and equipment. Knowledge of tools and parts so as to be able to identify them from name brands and generic descriptions and by using catalogs and other trade publications.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Team Ellsworth is comprised of active duty military, DoD civilians, retirees, and their families-working together to support combat ready operations. The 28th Force Support Squadron (28 FSS) manages various facilities and programs that contribute to the quality of life for members of the Ellsworth Community. The Base itself is one of only two B1 Bomber bases around the world, and in 2019 it was announced that Ellsworth AFB was selected as the preferred location for the first operation B-21 Bomber and formal training unit.
