• THIS IS A DELEGATED EXAMINING ANNOUNCEMENT OPEN TO ALL U.S. CITIZENS. • Division: Office Furniture Business Group, Central Office, Federal Prison Industries, Washington, DC • Duty Location: Central Office, Washington, DC • Note: This vacancy announcement has been set to receive the first 50 applications. Duties

Help

Analyzes and maintains product lead times (total replenishment lead times) and devises procurement and production strategies that serve to reduce overall lead times.

Provides guidance to Contracting staff to ensure material contracts are written in such a manner as to support manufacturing.

Researches and develops benchmarking metrics for the contract management process.

Interfaces with the Product Support Center and Office Furniture Business Group (OFBG) factories to develop and maintain accurate Production, Standard and Engineered bills of materials and routings.

Compiles, analyzes and submits various reports extracted from SAP, spreadsheets and computer application programs.

Develops, distributes, collates and analyzes customer surveys designed to provide feedback on OFBG publications, catalogs, price lists, static website and online stores.

Develops milestones for completion of staff work which will meet the requirements of long-term operating goals.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.

Education:

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.

Experience:

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.

Some examples of this qualifying experience are:

  • Experience working with the Product Support Center in the development of new product lines and revisions/changes to existing lines to determine the cost of sales versus selling price.
  • Experience maintaining product pricing, changes, revisions, publications, catalogs and price lists on the UNICOR online store for OFG product lines.
  • Experience compiling, analyzing and submitting various reports extracted from SAP and other programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, Adobe and PowerPoint.

Combination of Education and Experience:

Have a combination of education and experience. This experience must have equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the major duties of this position as described above.

If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
