Selectee occasionally lifts and carries weights up to 50 lbs. Work involves standing, and sitting positions for continuous periods as well as frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.

As H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) is a common gas in the wastewater system, selectee will be exposed to it in amounts deemed safe by OSHA. Is intermittently exposed to common electrical/mechanical industrial hazards. Is exposed to raw sewage and sewage gases.
Employee may be required to work overtime, is subject to emergency recall seven days a week and is subject to shift work.
Occasionally assigned duties will require selectee to enter into and work inside confined spaces. Selectee will be required to receive a pre-placement physical examination based upon the type of work performed and hazards to be encountered, an annual examination based on the potential of these hazards and a termination examination upon termination of employment or reassignment to other duties.
