Conducting analysis of policy issues and topics by researching background information, the origin of laws, and the intended impact in order to make effective policy recommendations.
Developing, evaluating, refining and reviewing regulations, rulings, manuals, program, guidelines, program memoranda, policy letters, or instructions to effectively communicate and disseminate program policies related to CMS’ lines of business.
Evaluating and analyzing the impact of new or revised changes to legislation before the Congress pertaining to any CMS program.
Researching all program issues and developing the appropriate response that includes CMS regulations, or policy issuances.
Identifying and proposing modifications to policies to reflect changes or trends in the health care industry, program objectives and the needs of beneficiaries.
