Duties

Help
  • Monitor automated systems to update supply information and support data integrity.
  • Track equipment in transit to ensure visibility and compliance with accountability standards.
  • Verify credit card purchase documentation to confirm authorization and accuracy of purchased items.
  • Coordinate supply and equipment movements to support ongoing operational needs.
  • Prepare transportation actions to support timely movement of organizational equipment.
  • Enter supply transactions into automated databases to maintain current and reliable records.

  • Conduct inventory checks to validate quantities and reconcile missing or mismatched items.
  • Research supply issues to gather needed information and support routine problem solving.

  • Process purchase requests to verify proper authorization and compliance with guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to personnel on basic property management requirements to improve workflow accuracy.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
  • This positions requires a pre-employment physical, must be able to lift 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license to drive military and civilian vehicles in accordance with AR 600-55.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. coordinating supply and equipment movements to support ongoing logistical requirements; AND 2. maintaining property accountability records to ensure accurate tracking of expendable and non-expendable items; AND 3. reviewing and processing purchase requests to verify proper authorization and compliance with established procedures; AND 4. providing guidance to personnel on property management practices to improve consistency and adherence to policy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
