This National Guard position is for a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Position Description Number D3021000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR, GS-0303-07, you will assist Personnel Management Activities: Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. Monitors personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. Assists with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. Participates in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities. Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Qualifications
Military Grades: E-1 through E-7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which indicates the candidate performed progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year experience equivalent to at least next lower grade level with knowledge of personnel management policies, administrative procedures, and automated systems such as Defense Travel System (DTS) and understand Air Force directives and local policies to provide accurate administrative guidance and support.
