As a Metal Forming Mach Oper Supv, you will serve as a wage supervisor over a shift (may be subject to shift rotation) and is responsible for the overall supervision of the Coining Division's production, personnel, and operation of assigned shift.

All candidates who are:
(1) Current United States Mint employees who are qualifying as Status Eligibles or currently serving on a Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA),
(2) CTAP eligible.
Provide technical and administrative supervision to up to three subordinate units performing Wage Grade work through subordinate supervisors and Leaders.
Be responsible for the quality of coins and metals produced with respect to their dimensions, tolerance specifications, and image quality for the care and management of all production equipment available for maximum utilization; for assuring schedule of repair of failed operational equipment, and maximum utilization of operational equipment.
Inspect daily operations to observe the work progress, to determine action necessary to expedite production, and to instruct subordinate supervisors.
All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service. Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis, 5 days a week. Work schedules may vary and assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.
