Duties

As a Metal Forming Mach Oper Supv, you will:

  • Provide technical and administrative supervision to up to three subordinate units performing Wage Grade work through subordinate supervisors and Leaders.
  • Be responsible for the quality of coins and metals produced with respect to their dimensions, tolerance specifications, and image quality for the care and management of all production equipment available for maximum utilization; for assuring schedule of repair of failed operational equipment, and maximum utilization of operational equipment.
  • Inspect daily operations to observe the work progress, to determine action necessary to expedite production, and to instruct subordinate supervisors.

  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
  • Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis, 5 days a week. Work schedules may vary and assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.
  • May be required to wear safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination

Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.

You must meet the screen-out element, Ability to supervise through subordinate supervisors , normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: supervised non-supervisory employees on a multiple shift basis and evaluated work performance, managed time and attendance, handled discipline issues, etc.

In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
