About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the14th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, within the Community Services Flight on Columbus AFB, Mississippi. This is the supervisor for the Information, Tickets, and Travel (ITT) office.

Regular FULL-Time (RPT) employees are guaranteed 35 hours, but may work up to 40 per week. RPT employees are eligible for leave/benefits

Help

Purpose of this position is to provide a manager for the ITT Office. Accountable for all funds, tickets or other negotiable instruments generated through activities of the ITT Office. Maintains a petty cash fund and follows all financial guidelines pertaining to maintenance and disposition of petty cash money. Provides technical and administrative supervision. Plans and assigns work. Develops performance standards, provides performance feedback and formal evaluation of employee performance. Selects personnel, approves/disapproves leave, takes disciplinary action, and periodically reviews position guides for accuracy. Schedules and publicizes various tours, trips, and other leisure activities that appeal to eligible customers. Packages, prices, and schedules tours to meet anticipated demand according to availability of destination, cost and probability of success. Develops, plans and coordinates details of special and recurring activities such as historical/cultural tours, exhibits, talent shows, and various leisure activities undertaken jointly with the civilian community ensuring maximum use of facilities and other resources. Recommends any major or minor changes in the program to improve program effectiveness to better meet the customers' needs. Develops annual budget requirements with supporting data for inclusion in overall program plans for leisure activities. Ensures program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interest of the population served. Ensures all arrangements for tours are complete, this will include transportation, driver, hotel, eating accommodations, etc. All arrangements must be completed in a timely manner to ensure an enjoyable experience and return customers. Contacts organizations offering tickets, tours, cruises, brochures, and literature in order to publish services offered by the section. Ensures all fees are collected before deadline dates. Performs all managerial duties associated with the Leisure

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of the ITT and Leisure Travel operation military and/ or commercial preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and persuade and inspire others in order to achieve the goals of the activity. Skill to effectively manage the financial resources received and provided for the program. Experience which demonstrated the ability and skill to perform all duties required of the position. Experience must have demonstrated the ability to meet and deal with all customers who are using the programs offered. Ability and skill in preparing an annual budget for the requirements of the activity. Operates computer for program. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries is required. Must have valid driver's license. This is a drug tested designated position. Incumbent will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
