The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is searching for a EURASIA Future Space Programs Team Lead to support NSIC (GG-0132-13).

Description:
This is an all-source intelligence analysis Team Lead position in the 3rd Space Analysis Squadron performing integrated analysis of adversary future space and counterspace systems. Selectee will provide collaborative, integrated analysis of regional plans, requirements, budgets, and processes that guide space and counterspace systems acquisition and future order of battle (OB).

Our mission supports space operators, policy makers, and acquisition/force modernization customers.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidates possess: Proven coaching/mentoring/developing experience, ability to build and lead teams, experience in intelligence community, collaboration, technical knowledge, including: a. Superior analytic tradecraft, b. Production processes, c. Space/Counterspace-related intelligence analysis experience, d. Knowledge of AFRICOM/CENTCOM/EUCOM AORs, e. Understanding of space RDA, requirements, budgets, and processes that guide space and counterspace systems acquisition.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments to drive policy and commit resources.
2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, interrelationship and operation.
4. Knowledge and skill in the analysis of worldwide space & counterspace, and in regional/cultural/military/political influences on foreign space program, doctrine, strategy, intent and perceptions.
5. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.
6. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes, and providing feedback and mentoring to subordinate analysts.

  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
  • A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments. Successful performance of duties may require travel up to 25 percent of the time.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
