Duties

Help

  • Provides input on program design to support economic reforms and align financing with national development goals.
  • Prepares a variety of documents for consultant hiring and the ongoing management of related contracts. Addresses procurement problems that require interpretation or adaptation. Analyzes established programs and performs duties to support the organization's administrative planning activities.
  • Develops, engages with, and supports operational relationships with foreign governments and private-sector actors to advance MCC's formulation and creation of innovative development programs.
  • Conducts research and analysis on topics in specialized program areas. Composes customized written responses to inquiries. Responses inform additional research that helps lay the groundwork for policy consideration.
  • Analyze needs, design programs, secure funding, and evaluate the impact of development initiatives.
  • Manages and executes work assignments related to Private Sector and Blended Finance activities, with in-country counterparts.
  • Provides comprehensive contract management, including tracking progress and completion of deliverables, reviewing quarterly disbursement requests for programmatic activities, and monitoring Compact budgets and procurement plans.
  • Monitors and tracks projects and provide oral or written reports to senior staff. Assists in the preparation of data for quarterly portfolio reviews of projects on a country-by-country.
  • Reviews program funding and spending data and develops cost information reflecting program trends for an assigned area of an organization's financial program. Analyzes financial status reports for overall program status.
  • Designs, implements, and manages project financing, budget support, and results-based financing in order to, to support, etc.
  • Identifies pertinent issues related to international development, blended finance, and development finance and gathers relevant information from diverse sources
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify for pay band 4B applicants must meet the following:

Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4C (GS-11) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, examples of specialized experience are: coordinating and assisting with operational duties related to the implementation of international assistance programs or investments; monitoring and maintaining reports, project results and providing oral or written summaries; reviewing and tracking program funding or investments that includes spending data and cost information reflecting trends; and searching databases to obtain information and responding to inquiries on program/project activities. This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.

To qualify for pay band 4A applicants must meet the following:

Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4B (GS-12) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. HIGHLY DESIRABLE: Be able to speak and write in Spanish or French. (Please include language and level of proficiency in your resume).

  • RECRUITMENT/RELOCATION BONUS may be authorized for this position. If you are not a current federal employee this position may authorize a one time Recruitment bonus to be paid over a specified period. Selected individual will be required to sign a service agreement prior to receiving any bonus payments.
