Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the senior ordnance program analyst for weapons readiness assessment.
  • You will conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of the Navy's ability to meet strategic benchmarks.
  • You will provide direct oversight and management of the conventional ammunition inventory, both afloat and ashore.
  • You will represent OPNAV N4L in various high-level forums, working groups, and other enterprise-level improvement projects
  • You will conduct inventory and risk assessments associated with ordnance inventory management.
  • You will develop and analyze ordnance load plan and shipboard ordnance allowances.
  • You will lead N4L1 resource management and investment strategy for FOS, NOSSA, NALC, and OIS, directing the planning and execution of ordnance manpower resources.
  • You will manage complex budget accounts across multiple appropriations through the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing logistics support programs for ashore and afloat commands, including developing, implementing, and evaluating high-level policy for ordnance supply chain operations. 2) Knowledge of ordnance inventory management using accountable property systems to conduct complex inventory assessments and provide enterprise oversight. 3) Conducting in-depth analysis of ordnance inventories against strategic benchmarks and advising senior leaders across multiple echelons to optimize asset distribution. 4) Comprehensive experience executing the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, managing ordnance budget accounts, and developing investment strategies for logistics programs. 5) Providing technical and managerial expertise for ordnance life cycle management, including overseeing ordnance load plans, shipboard allowances, transportation logistics, and explosives safety. 6) Providing strategic oversight for enterprise-wide ordnance audit readiness, including directing responses to high-level audits, evaluating findings, and mandating corrective action plans (CAPs).
