Must be able to pass successfully a Range Safety Certification Examination.
The incumbent must be able to acquire and maintain a valid state driver's license for operation of government vehicles in the performance of work.
The incumbent may require to work evenings, holidays and/or weekend hours.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Implementing operating procedures related to safety training exercises and/or activity areas; 2) Enforcing organizational policies and procedures related to range safety, emergency procedures and range maintenance; 3) Operating various automated computer programs; and 4) Utilizing communications equipment such as radio and telephone to make voice contact with personnel who are training on ranges. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
