Duties

Help
  • Coordinates with the Command's Security Division (J0S) to document and initiate security actions essential to support the security and integrity of operations, including personnel security clearances, badging, and visitor requests.
  • Also manages local physical security functions, including assuring consistent compliance with USCYBERCOM, DoD, and federal requirements for secure storage, document marking and transmission, and read-in requests
  • Briefs the J003 Chief on upcoming due dates, pending invoices, and payment status.
  • Attends events, take notes, generates minutes and action items as appropriate, and distributes tasks as directed
  • Provides internal and external communications management functions to support J003 operations.
  • Collects future year travel requirements and prepares the J003 travel budget forecast.
  • Leads analyses, documentation, and justification of J003requirements for administrative budget lines, including professional development, training, and office furniture/expendable supplies.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Employee must pass initial and periodic random drug testing.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.

Basic Requirement for Office Operations Manager:

For GG-11 Specialized and Other Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by coordinating with security personnel to document essential security operations; collecting travel metrics data to assist in the preparation of future travel budgets; and tracking payment status within an automated management system.

OR

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in office administration, business administration, or communications;

OR

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.


For GG-12 Specialized and Other Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by applying agency security requirements while storing or marking sensitive documents; analyzing travel metrics data to prepare future travel budgets; and reviewing invoices within an automated management system to provide reports to staff.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

For GG-13 Specialized and Other Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by analyzing personnel and physical security requests for compliance with agency requirements; advising personnel on agency travel policies and processes; and aligning automated management systems with workflow tasks to enhance operational efficiency.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
