Summary

This position is in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Office of Analysis for Europe and Eurasia, (INR/EUR) and it is responsible for analyzing classified and open-source information on European and Eurasian affairs to inform U.S. interests and relationships in the region and globally.
Serves as the senior intelligence research specialist providing all-source analysis on Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, focusing on internal affairs, foreign policy, leadership, political and economic developments, and security policy.
Represents the Department in interagency meetings, provides guidance to Department policymakers, briefs key stakeholders in the U.S. Congress.
Advises on and performs intelligence research bearing on U.S. relations with foreign governments and international organizations.
Serves as a government-wide expert in their field in various intergovernmental and non-governmental fora.
Represents the Department in resolving intelligence issues and disputes in Intelligence Community and other interagency working group meetings.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using political, economic, historical, geographic, or related expertise and Intelligence Community analytic methods to produce policy-relevant intelligence assessments.
Experience working with the Department of State and the Intelligence Community to carry out national intelligence activities, including participation in interagency processes with national security agencies.
Experience providing written analyses and oral briefings to senior government policymakers on issues related to Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
