Duties

Help
  • Plans, analyzes, interprets, and evaluates program operations and services to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Supervises and directs the operations by planning and assigning work to staff based on management priorities, employee capabilities, and schedules.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the management and delivery of simplified acquisition, procurement, and contracting services.
  • Plans, organizes, and carries out budget planning and administration for programs and activities.
  • Provides project management expertise on a broad range of high-priority, cross-cutting, difficult, and complex projects of significance in diverse areas related to the center’s mission.
  • Develops organizational guidelines, policies and standard operation procedures and makes major recommendations concerning space and facilities programs and services.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for a Supervisory Program Specialist, GS-0301-14 position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: conducting analytical studies and evaluations of program operations and administrative support functions such as budget, procurement, personnel, or supply management; assessing organizational performance and developing recommendations to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and service delivery; identifying and resolving complex programmatic or administrative issues impacting mission accomplishment; and advising leadership on process improvements, policy implementation, and strategic operational initiatives.
