Duties

Help

Assist in daily monitoring of dispositions, receipt processing, turn-ins, researching, inventory control, location changes in storage, and shipping.
Conduct monthly inventories on two high turnover hand receipts, ensuring all postings are accurate.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of the employees.
Develop performance plans and evaluates employees.
Prepare documentation for property discrepancies identified during inventories.
Manage data input across multiple authorized property accounting systems.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting physical inventory; maintaining property accounts and/or records; utilizing an automated system to generate supply reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
