Duties

Help
  • You will coordinate with the customer Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure all technical inputs are reviewed and accurately reflect projected workload.
  • You will incumbent shall maintain the Repair Bill of Material (RBOMs) for their area of responsibility, incorporating changes driven by Technical Directives (TDs), changes in material sourcing availability, actual performance data, etc.
  • You will be responsible for assessing RBOM performance data to determine the root cause of significant variances
  • You will be responsible for determining the material requirements for aircraft, engine, and component workload at FRCs and documenting it in RBOM.
  • You will develop and maintains material standards through the use of historical and technical data.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of one experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of material concepts, principles, practices, and skills to be used for industrial material maintenance 2)Understanding of depot daily operations regarding material management and flow 3) Understanding of supply systems and concepts, methodologies, supply program operations, policies, and FRC East industrial processes and business practice 4) A good working knowledge of material management functions and procedures as well as Department of Defense Supply Systems 5) Ability to gather and/or request data from reliable sources and analyze/evaluate data, interpret guidance, draw conclusions, make recommendations and present analysis, findings and recommendations orally and in writing 6) Knowledge of material programs, guidelines, and processes to maintain depot BOMs 7) Ability to accurately interpret written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, blueprints, and all pertinent technical data and documentation 8) Ability to properly read a technical manual (IPB/IPD) and locate critical information from tech data such as useable on codes and SM&R codes 9) Understanding of association of replacement parts to next higher assembly, quantity per assembly and replacement rates to BOMs 10) Ability to conduct comprehensive studies and analyses through the use of software systems and data systems such as Excel, Access, Outlook, MRP II, Defense Industrial Financial Management System, Automated Data Capture System, etc. 11) Solid problem-solving skills to develop sound conclusions and recommend solutions on a variety of material-related functions 12) Practical and innovating thinking to find applicable solutions as a problem solver 13) Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of personnel and management to include preparation and delivery of presentations to internal and external management officials 14) Possess skills to compose technical reports and evaluations concerning material maintenance 15) Ability to partner and team with other support groups and internal/external customers 16) Maintain solid working relationships within and outside of the team.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:GS-11:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
