Duties for the Assistant Director, GS-0301-15 include but not limited to:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements, including education, and any selective placement factors described below within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Providing expert advice and oversight of office environment design and construction projects, including developing design documents and managing demolition and construction activities; and
(2) Managing a complex organization through the acquisition and disposal of real property, including long- and short-range space planning and development of contracting documents; and
(3) Managing and overseeing a nationwide physical security program, including the implementation, installation, and maintenance of an Enterprise Access Control System and video surveillance systems; and
(4) Overseeing the design, development, testing, and maintenance of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Occupant Emergency Program, including coordination with Federal emergency management partners; and
(5) Collaborating with IT specialists to evaluate and recommend improvements to an organization's cybersecurity programs and policies in accordance with Federal regulations and standards.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. The substitution of education is not qualifying at the GS-15 grade level.
