Duties

Help
  • You will coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of parts, tools, and supplies while ensuring maintenance personnel receive materials needed to complete repairs, inspections, and facility support operations on schedule.
  • You will maintain inventory records, monitor stock usage, verify incoming shipments, and adjust ordering priorities to ensure critical repair parts, materials, and equipment remain available without disrupting maintenance activities.
  • You will inspect received shipments for accuracy, damage, and quantity discrepancies while organizing materials in designated storage locations to support safe handling, efficient distribution, and proper accountability procedures.
  • You will plan and organize storage areas by evaluating available space, material characteristics, and handling requirements to improve accessibility, efficiency, and protection of equipment, supplies, and maintenance materials.
  • You will prepare materials for transport, conduct physical inventory counts, maintain stocking levels, and provide updates to supervisors regarding the status, movement, and availability of repair parts and support equipment.
  • You will operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position supplies, pallets, and equipment while following established safety procedures and supporting maintenance shop operations efficiently.
  • You will research supply discrepancies, identify replacement parts, process requisitions, and coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure urgent repair materials are obtained quickly to support uninterrupted operational readiness.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the WG-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Routing and expediting the movement of parts, end items, supplies, and material within a facility; performing various tasks in connection with the requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue and inventory of tools, repair parts and repair/utility type material; and determining parts/supplies and quantities required to maintain the needs of a facility.
