Duties

Help

As a ,Printing Services Specialist you will:

  • Ensure customer files are correct and appropriate for production and does not contain copy-write material.
  • Select system features and options required to complete the job according to specifications.
  • Independently utilize job management software to sort, prioritize, and manipulate order of jobs in system queue on multiple pieces of equipment to utilize the system effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-09: You must have one (1) year 52 weeks of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors.
Specialized experience for this position includes the following:

Experience assisting in the review process prior to production proofs or final products at various quality levels of printing to increasing levels of difficulty from basic documents to Advanced Adobe Software Suite designs and other digital printing; AND
Experience in processing, writing and reviewing contract orders.; AND
Experience working with a team in project management that could include developing project milestones and deadlines, identifying contractual requirements and providing analytical information.; AND
Experience working with printed products which range from one or more spot colors to 4-color process printing.

OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This announcement uses the Rule of Many, a numerical ranking process under which eligible applicants receive a numeric score based on the assessment process for the position.
