Duties

Help
  • You will compete globally with other Combatant Commands for the allocation and prioritization of Low-Density/High-Demand (LD/HD) persistent shortfalls, including electronic warfare, intelligence, and ISR capabilities.
  • You will direct the annual Global Force Management (GFM) planning and allocation of approximately 300,000 U.S. forces within the PACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to support strategic theater requirements.
  • You will represent the Command as the primary spokesperson in Joint Force Provider sourcing processes and Global Force Management Boards (GFMB) to secure force availability for senior-level decision-makers.
  • You will manage time-sensitive and emergency Requests for Forces (RFF) from component and sub-unified commands, ensuring synchronized force employment and mitigation of theater risks.
  • You will oversee the utilization of the Joint Capabilities and Requirements Management (JCRM) program to capture force capabilities, develop requirements, and interface with automated data processing systems.
  • You will supervise a joint team of military officers and civilian personnel (O-4 to O-5/GS-13), including the development of performance plans, resource estimates, and administrative oversight.
  • You will synchronize rotational force requirements across subordinate component commands (e.g., PACFLT, PACAF, USARPAC) to ensure effective deployment and adherence to Secretary of Defense orders.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  1. Competing for highly specialized and limited resources at the strategic level to meet global mission requirements and mitigate critical organizational shortfalls.

  2. Directing the comprehensive planning, allocation, and management of large-scale personnel and assets across a broad geographic or functional area of responsibility.

  3. Representing the organization as a senior advisor and spokesperson in high-level decision-making forums to advocate for critical requirements and influence strategic-level policy.

  4. Managing short-notice and emergency requirements for resources, ensuring the timely resolution of complex operational issues and the synchronization of efforts across organizational boundaries.

  5. Overseeing the implementation and utilization of complex management systems and automated tools to capture capabilities, track requirements, and support data-driven executive decisions.

  6. Supervising a multi-disciplinary team of professional, military, and civilian staff, providing strategic direction, performance management, and administrative oversight of personnel and programs.

  7. Synchronizing complex operational requirements across multiple subordinate and external organizations to ensure effective integration, resource employment, and mission accomplishment.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
