Help
  • Serve as a Product Owner, working alongside Civil Servants (Product Manager and IT System Owner) and contractors (Technical Architects) to align on platform-related initiatives, leveraging their expertise and ensuring cohesive project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and tenants (both existing and future/potential customers), ensuring platform development and design aligns with long-term platform goals and timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders (including but not limited to customers, other IT-related teams, and leadership) and the development team to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to contractor technical teams, ensuring adherence to NASA-defined standards, governance, and timelines. Monitor the quality of deliverables from contractor teams, providing constructive feedback and support, as needed.
  • Assist in prioritizing and refining a product backlog to ensure the most valuable features are addressed and delivered in a timely fashion. Ensure deliverables align with long-term planning schedules.
  • Participate in contractor-led sprint planning sessions, ensuring that tasks are well-defined and assigned appropriately from a government perspective.
  • Monitor contractor-led releases and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure features meet requirements and delivery is performed as scheduled from a government perspective.
  • Support major initiatives from a programmatic perspective, ensuring continuity of service for existing users and minimizing disruptions. Align with Product Teams on best practices and ensure planned work runs smoothly through new implementations.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

You may meet the basic requirements through substitution of education for experience

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.

  • Supporting the implementation of Software as a Service (SaaS) products and platforms, specifically Salesforce and/or ServiceNow;
  • Leveraging the Agile software development lifecycle to execute development and IT operations;
  • Executing customer engagement and customer support functions across all levels of an organization.
AND

IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

  3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
