Duties

Help
  • You will provides oversight for major construction and execution of the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP).
  • You will serve as the chief liaison between the Public Private Venture (PPV) and Installation Command Staff and managers.
  • You will direct the formulation of housing improvement plans within the framework of generally established USMC objectives, policies and standards.
  • You will formulate long-range plans that may include significant deviations from established USMC policy, based on foreseen changes not yet formalized.
  • You will provide management, guidance and procedures for housing entitlements, occupancy, assignment and termination, adequacy and livability on the installation.
  • You will develop and establish directives and implement principal guidelines for housing management activities to include housing accommodations and accessibility for Exceptional Family Member Program and Wounded Warrior participants.
  • You will supervise and direct work of division personnel.
  • You will plan for and insure on-the-job and formal training for all personnel as needed.
  • You will ensure that appropriate action is taken to resolve problems, correct deficiencies, or clarify policies.

  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing expert knowledge and skill to manage and develop policies that manages thousands of homes; Ensure complex agreements comply with Marine Corps policies; Capable of reacting to housing availability in the local communities to ensure occupancy rates are met; Developing housing management plans and procedures; Applying housing policy at the serviced installation levels, and providing advice on all matters relating to the management, operation, and utilization of housing assets and facilities; Create and implement new ideas, technological advances in programs and policies; and create improvements in overall assigned housing programs.
