Duties

Help
  • You will follow guidelines and processes to be used in creating and maintaining BOM requirements, replacement rates and incorporation of technical data changes for the FRC East.
  • You will attend meeting with agencies internal and external for FRC East to specify and identify BOMs establishment and maintenance and the impact on forecasting and production schedules.
  • You will participate in specification reviews with representation from the Type Commanders., Fleet Support Team (FST), etc., to obtain current and future schedule and performance data in support of accurate BOMs having scope, complexity, and impact.
  • You will monitor and analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP II) exception data and make recommendations for corrections or changes.
  • You will provide data, statistics, reports etc., in the format required/requested.
  • You will respond to data calls pertaining to statistics relative to analyzing BOM effectiveness, etc.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of material concepts, principles, practices, and skills to be used for industrial material maintenance; 2) Understanding of depot daily operations regarding material management and flow; 3) Understanding of supply systems and concepts, methodologies, supply program operations, policies, and FRC East industrial processes and business practice; 4) Understanding of material management functions and procedures as well as Department of Defense Supply Systems; 5) Assisting with gathering and/or requesting data from reliable sources and analyze/evaluate data, interpret guidance, draw conclusions, make recommendations and present analysis, findings and recommendations orally and in writing; 6) Assisting with interpreting written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, blueprints, and all pertinent technical data and documentation; 7) Ability to properly read a technical manual (IPB/IPD) and locate critical information from tech data such as useable on codes and SM&R codes; 8) Understanding of association of replacement parts to next higher assembly, quantity per assembly and replacement rates to BOMs; 9) Assisting with conducting comprehensive studies and analyses through the use of software systems and data systems such as Excel, Access, Outlook, MRP II, Defense Industrial Financial Management System, Automated Data Capture System, etc.; 10) Practical and innovating thinking to find applicable solutions as a problem solver; 11) Communicating orally and in writing with all levels of personnel and management; 12) Assisting with composing technical reports and evaluations concerning material maintenance; 13) Ability to partner and team with other support groups and internal/external customers; 14) Maintain solid working relationships within and outside of the team.

FOR THE GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Knowledge of material programs, guidelines, and processes to maintain depot BOMs; 7) Interpreting written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, blueprints, and all pertinent technical data and documentation; 8) Ability to properly read a technical manual (IPB/IPD) and locate critical information from tech data such as useable on codes and SM&R codes; 9) Understanding of association of replacement parts to next higher assembly, quantity per assembly and replacement rates to BOMs; 10) Conducting comprehensive studies and analyses through the use of software systems and data systems such as Excel, Access, Outlook, MRP II, Defense Industrial Financial Management System, Automated Data Capture System, etc.; 11) Problem-solving skills to develop sound conclusions and recommend solutions on a variety of material-related functions; 12) Practical and innovating thinking to find applicable solutions as a problem solver; 13) Communicating orally and in writing with all levels of personnel and management to include preparation and delivery of presentations to internal and external management officials; 14) Composing technical reports and evaluations concerning material maintenance; 15) Ability to partner and team with other support groups and internal/external customers; 16) Maintain solid working relationships within and outside of the team.
