Duties

Help

Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, conducting, monitoring, and processing full scale, wage change, and special wage surveys. Makes contact with establishments to explain the survey process, procure participation, and set up appointments for data collector teams. Travels to host activity for orientation briefings, trains local wage survey data collectors, and reviews wage data collected. Analyzes wage data, proposes wage lines, and prepares exhibits for the review of the supervisor.

Creates and maintains spreadsheet databases in support of Federal Wage System (FWS) surveys required for private sector wage surveys, special rates, overseas, and special pay plans. Provides technical support to staff by entering wage data and making requested changes. Generates final wage schedules and coordinates with IT support personnel for release to DCPAS website.

Ensures time-sensitive creation and distribution of required announcement letters, order letters, hearing reports, and final reports.
Contributes to effective public relations with a wide circle of high-level military and civilian government officials, industry leaders, labor representatives, and others in support of the Federal Wage System mission.

Provides administrative and logistical support and overall office management for supervisors and/or staff. Serves as central point of contact for authoritative information on administrative policies, procedures, and requirements of the NAF Pay Systems Branch. Analyzes and coordinates administrative missions and operations; proposes new procedures and provides guidance in the application of administrative guidelines to increase efficiencies. Provides budgetary services to include preparing budget estimates, monitoring use of funds, and submitting reports on use of funds.

Maintains database for tracking and monitoring required training and other administrative requirements. Monitors personnel actions for suspense dates and serves as timekeeper for the organization.

Schedules conferences and training for the technical staff.

Qualifications

RESUMES MUST BE TWO PAGES (OR LESS). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.

Work experience that demonstrates knowledge of wage systems and wage survey administration. Must have the demonstrated ability to provide detailed information through formal written and verbal presentations. Must be proficient in the use of office automation systems and software such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.

Highly-qualified candidates will have experience in Federal Wage System and NAF Pay band System administration.

All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks.
