Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the Housing Program Manger and the primary subject-matter expert for all Family and Unaccompanied Housing and Furnishing matters.
  • You will provide management guidance and procedures for housing entitlements, occupancy, assignment and termination, adequacy and livability for all housing
  • You will mediate all resident concerns and complaints, promoting Fair Housing guidance.
  • You will plan, program, budget, and execute requirements relative to funding for assigned housing programs.
  • You will oversee maintenance and other work efforts in PPV (Public-Private Venture) Housing.
  • You will oversee solicitation and time sensitive management of rental and sales listings to meet individual needs and preferences within a broad customer base that includes all categories of military housing.
  • You will be responsible for development, justification, and defense of budgets, such as the three-year budget and five-year management plan based on known and anticipated requirements.
  • You will The incumbent provides input into the staffing controls, hiring and evaluation process for housing managers to provide a matrix change management framework where installation housing managers understand the concept of operation.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final (SECRET) security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Occasional travel is required for various meetings and site visits.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:developing, interpreting and implementing housing policy, program management oversight and administration of housing activities.
