Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (System Analysis/System Administration) in the Command Information Office (CIO) for the Commander, Naval Safety Command (COMNAVSAFECOM).
  • You will identify hardware, software applications, and connectivity requirements for Navy Marine Corps Intranet NMCI services and Command legacy work stations.
  • You will develop NMCI services order using Navy supplied software tools and verifies that NMCI invoices reflect those services accurately.
  • You will ensure compliance with Department of War and Department of Navy AIS (automated information system) procedures.
  • You will be responsible for technical and administrative support to ensure production capability and interactive system performance of digital phone system, voice processing system, telephone support software, telephone wiring and key phone sets.
  • You will develop and coordinate procurement strategies.

  • This is a Cyber Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST proficiency level Intermediate.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain qualifications within 12 months of appointment and in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing and resolving a variety of complex, often unprecedented, technical, administrative, and cybersecurity issues related to the full
lifecycle of IT services and assets.; 2) Liaise effectively with site IT representatives, third-party
vendors, and IT support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and provide mentorship.; 3) Articulate service needs, provide mentorship and authoritative guidance to IT representatives.; 4) Providing expert-level guidance for the most complex technical problems related to hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications.

In addition to the above specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
