Duties

Help
  • You will coordinate or manage a tasker system for a Department of Defense organization.
  • You will develop and maintain division knowledge management records and coordinate actions with three branch heads and the Fleet Priorities Office leads.
  • You will provide advice on administrative polices, written correspondence, and management services that are essential to the efficient operation of the Information Warfare Future Capabilities division.
  • You will coordinate information for senior leaders, both internal and external to the organization, and establishes, develops, and maintain effective working relationships with other coordinating organizations and staffs.
  • You will coordinate across all divisions to provide holistic and integrated responses and recommendations for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare.
  • You will serve as the Executive Secretary for the Information Warfare Enterprise (IWE) Board of Directors (BOD) Future Capabilities Cross Functional Team (CFT).
  • You will manage the Fleet Priorities Office Lab to support strategic planning, idea generation, and senior leader engagement to accelerate the delivery of future capabilities to the fleet.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:

1. Recommending utilization of money, manpower, or material resources.
2. Coordinating or managing a tasker system for a Department of Defense (DoD) organization.
3. Preparing written correspondence for senior leaders.
4. Experience interacting with senior DoD officials (military/civilian).
5. Coordinating IT services and logistical support for an office.
6. Experiencing operating DoD video teleconference systems.
7. Managing security and access requirements for an office/organization.
