Duties

Help
  • You will perform intelligence analysis and production tasks relative to the political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical, or military issues in specific foreign countries.
  • You will effectively apply extensive knowledge of advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques to complex work assignments.
  • You will analyze and evaluate information in the preparation of threat anti-landing and foreign marine/naval infantry forces studies.
  • You will prepare and present briefings on assigned area of responsibility for senior level DoD and USMC officials.
  • You will represent MCIA/USMC at inter-agency and intra-agency forums and international conferences.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • This position may be subject to Polygraph Examination and Drug Testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  1. Leading the development of complex, all-source intelligence assessments on foreign military capabilities to inform decision-making, including identifying second and third-order effects; and mentoring junior analysts on Intelligence Community (IC) tradecraft standards.
  2. Developing and implementing comprehensive, multi-discipline research and collection strategies to address complex intelligence gaps concerning foreign military capabilities, including identifying critical indicators, signatures, and the potential for denial and deception.
  3. Applying and guiding others in the use of advanced analytical methodologies, such as Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs), red teaming, and alternative futures analysis, to challenge key assumptions, mitigate bias, and produce predictive intelligence.
  4. Serving as a subject matter expert by representing an organization's equities and defending analytic positions in service, inter-agency, international, or DoW-level forums, working groups, and wargames.
  5. Leading analytical projects or teams by scoping ambiguous intelligence requirements, developing production plans for complex, long-range assessments, and providing substantive quality control to ensure products meet the highest standards for accuracy and relevance.
