The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO is searching for an Organizational Resource Advisor to support MD2 (NH-0560-02, GS 05/11 equivalent).

Description:
This position serves as a key advisor to the Mission Delta 2 commander on all budgetary, financial, and overarching resource management matters. You will execute the commander's vision on resource allocation to support mission-critical operations, maintenance, and sustainment. A primary function of this role is to assist in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resources, serving as the organizational point of contact and liaison for both civilian and military personnel matters. You will be responsible for staying abreast of current personnel issues and providing guidance on regulations and procedures to supervisors and managers.

You will ensure unit program compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and policies across a wide range of administrative and resource management programs. Your duties will include detailed budget formulation, analysis, and administration, involving the monitoring of obligations and expenditures from various funding sources. You will also develop and maintain office procedures, manage records, and perform other clerical and administrative work, readily adapting to emerging requirements and executing special projects as directed by leadership to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the financial management office.

Ideal Candidate:
Mission Delta 2 (MD2) is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Resource Advisor to join our team as a technical specialist reporting to the Director of S8. In this vital support role, you will execute essential budget functions-including formulation, execution, and multi-year analysis-to ensure the fiscal health of critical Space Domain Awareness (SDA) programs. Working under the guidance of the S8 Director, you will facilitate the day-to-day management of financial portfolios while providing integrated support to overarching administrative, personnel, and manpower programs. We are looking for a professional who can seamlessly adapt to evolving installation needs, ensuring that resource management activities are perfectly aligned with the mission objectives of the U.S. Space Force. Experience with financial platforms such as DEAMS, Legacy , CRIS, G-Invoicing, White Area Work Flow (WAWF), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Defense Travel System (DTS), FM Suite, and Power BI are preferred.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
  • PCS / Incentive funding is not authorized.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 12-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
