The United States Space Force (USSF) at Joint Base Andrews, Camp Springs, MD is searching for an Executive Support Specialist to support Delta 13 (NH-0343-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).

Description:

General Description: As the space Delta 13, Executive Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in preparing space professionals to make strategic decisions in challenging environments, fostering integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of Guardians.
Purpose: To recruit a skilled Executive Specialist who will contribute to the mission of Delta 13 by enhancing the efficiency of senior executives through completion of administrative tasks, communication and ensuring smooth operations within the organization, ultimately supporting the development of U.S. Space Force Guardians for success in complex operational environments.

Major Duties:
- Identifying and analyzing key organizational issues, developing strategies, and advising leadership using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Leading and coordinating special projects and initiatives, ensuring objectives, milestones, and timelines are met.
- Integrating and managing time sensitive staff activities, assessing mission impacts, and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinating CONUS and OCONUS travel, maintaining leadership calendars, preparing schedules, and developing meeting materials.
- Overseeing and improving administrative programs such as task management, GTC/DTS/GPC programs, and records management.


Ideal Candidate:
Searching for a highly disciplined leader capable of providing high-level administrative support to an executive staff. The ideal candidate might have background and/or experience in business administration, communication, and other executive-level administrative roles. Education is not a strict requirement, but having a degree can be beneficial. The candidate must be capable of conducting comprehensive analyses of a wide diversity of governmental organization functions and processes. Candidate must also be able to provide subject matter expertise, consultation, collaboration, and advisory services that are essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization. Attention to detail, organization, time management, highly-developed verbal and written communication, and problem-solving are crucial in this role. The candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, as well as the ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
  • PCS / Incentive funding is authorized.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
