Serve as a Housing Manager in the Housing Division/Directorate of Public Works located at an Army garrison.
Responsible for the planning, management, administration, coordination and implementation of the housing management program(s) Housing Services Office (HSO).
Review various inspections of community rental property to determine adequacy, habitability and suitability as a listing for referral.
Analyze and prepare statistical data for a variety of reports.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.
Incumbent may have to serve a probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with daily operations and monitoring of off-post rental properties; 2) Evaluating and preparing financial reports or other data reports related to surrounding community rental properties; AND 3) Assisting with conducting inspections to ensure habitability and compliance with policies and standards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Housing Management and/or Facility Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
